Curriculum Vitae And Career Resume

Yannick Chastang studied cabinet-making and marquetry for six years at the prestigious Ecole Boulle in Paris. The Ecole Boulle, founded in 1886, specialises in teaching the skills required for manufacture of the decorative arts. The training is intensely practical and included marquetry under the tutelage of Pierre Ramond, engraving for Boulle marquetry and the manufacture of veneered furniture, both reproduction and of contemporary design.

Following graduation Yannick Chastang gained work experience in some of the best conservation workshops in France and in the United States and pursued several courses at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Ecole du Louvre and Ecole Nissim de Camondo in Paris.

In 1995 he became a junior conservator for two-years at the Musée des Arts Decoratifs, Paris.

From 1997 to 2003 Yannick Chastang was Furniture Conservator at the Wallace Collection, London.

Yannick Chastang has been the managing director of Yannick Chastang Limited since 2003.
